My review of Insanity is that it is the most intense cardiovascular workout I have ever done. It will make you sweat so much in the first five minutes you think you have been working out for an hour. It will get your heart rate into a fat obliterating zone and keep it there for the entire workout. The concept behind Insanity is that of maximal exertion with brief rest periods that keeps your heart pounding for for the entire workout. Contrary to interval training that is based on moderate exertion with brief periods of intense exertion Insanity turns this completely around and keeps you in the intense exertion phase for the majority of the workout. Shaun T is the leader of the Insanity and his no nonsense, straight-forward it is time to work attitude will keep you engaged and motivated throughout each workout. I love Insanity and highly recommend this for people that want to challenge themselves to the most intense cardiovascular workout on the planet.
